Let me begin with two confessions:
1) I just made a plan to blog only twice a week … here I am blowing it already.
2) I didn’t go to church Sunday. My youngest daughter asked if we could please skip church because she really needed “us” to get the bedroom fan replaced at her house. I did ask God to please forgive me – and may have also asked that I not die of electrocution.
Thoughts about the blog ran through my head on my drive back home (since I did not die of electrocution). What will I say when I run out of unique moments to blog about? Seriously. How many unique moments can there be? I turned to God – a bit embarrassed about tossing this question up to Him just hours after I failed to go to church.
Arriving home, I clicked through the footage of the cameras with the most activity this time of year. Click … Finch. Click … Finch. Click … Finches. And, then, there it was … His reminder that He is both a forgiving and gracious God.
Sorry about the long introduction – I had to say all those things because in 4 years of watching these cameras – this is a pretty cool first. (To my friend, Debbie: “No, it was not a bear!”) I remind you: The day a bear shows up, I’m packing!
