One of the most exciting things about bird-watching, at least to me, is the incredible array of colors. I thought I'd do some posts featuring birds of a given color. I am starting with "Yellow Birds". When I first started feeding the birds, I was inundated with American Goldfinches. At times, there would literally be 100 or more. They have kind of become the signature bird on this property -- drawing others to put up bird feeders at their houses. In those early days, when the weeping willow tree was still young, I snapped this photo. I call in 100 Goldfinches and a Cardinal.
